The National Innovation Center of Intelligent & Connected Vehicles (CICV) was approved and established by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in May 2019, and is the first national manufacturing innovation center in the field of intelligent & connected vehicles in China. CICV operates with a modality of “company + alliance”. The company is China Intelligent & Connected Vehicles (Beijing) Research Institute Co., Ltd. The alliance is the China Industry Innovation Alliance for the Intelligent & Connected Vehicles (CAICV). Under the support of China Society of Automotive Engineers and China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, CICV was jointly funded by 23 leading industry players and research institutes in the fields of automobile manufacturing, auto parts, information and communication, and etc. The total registered capital has reached 1.1 billion RMB.
